Disaster Recovery and De-duplication

-I-Access architected and implemented the foundation for a local bank’s DR/Business continuity plan by leveraging replication of backups from Richmond to Indiana through the use of the Data Domain devices. By utilizing Data Domain and De-Duplication we were able to shrink their backup window by 8.5 hours nightly and reduce the amount of actual data stored and replicated by 84%.

After integrating the Data Domain Solution into the infrastructure at the bank they all but eliminated Tape costs, 80% of the man hours needed for backups, and now have 100% reliable restores from backup, each and every time.
